Neo-Eco Ukraine is now kicking off its ARCHES Program with another key partner: The Congress for the New Urbanism, one of the world’s leading urban planning organizations.
CNU is a United States-based 501c3 nonprofit that was founded in 1993 and is the world-leading proponent of the new urbanist philosophy. The organisation’s 2,600-member community includes some of the top voices in urbanism and architecture in the world, with its member-led teams carrying out successful projects for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, LEED certification for neighbourhood development, federal housing finance underwriting rules, and many more initiatives. Leading CNU’s work with us is Stephen Goldie from Team 11, a group within CNU that focuses on international projects that support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
Mallory Baches AICP, LEED-AP, CNU-A President of CNU, shared a few words about how our program fits her organisation’s ethos:
“We hope that peace is soon restored, and that Ukraine can soon rebuild more sustainable and livable communities in the wake of the devastation the war has brought…I appreciate that this circumstance reflects the many projects that corporate and individual members of CNU participate in around the world…[and] CNU is certainly pleased to be a supporter of the ARCHES Program…”
