Design of a dual-use shelter created by children

Mykolaiv

Neo-Eco Ukraine would like to thank CAID (Crown Agents International Development) and UBS Optimus Foundation for their financial support to our #UkraineResilience charity to improve the living conditions, education and protection of children with the implementation of a “Design of a dual-use shelter created by children” project in Zelenyi Hai (#Mykolaiv). The programme, including creative workshops, is implemented by Crown Agents International Development (CAID) and UBS Optimus Foundation in partnership with Crown Agents in #Ukraine.

“This project is giving children an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, ability to communicate and work in a team. Online learning is depriving children of live communication. Parents are therefore very grateful for the psychological help and the the creative atmosphere which allows children to socialise and design. The project has had such an impact that some of them have already chosen their future careers, and even become interested in recycling . Tetiana Yakovleva, headmistress of Zeleny Hai school, shared, “Alisa, a 10-year-old participant in the project says she wants to start her own business in her village and renovate buildings in a green way.”

We plan to rebuild further schools and shelters in the Mykolaiv region to ensure a decent, sustainable and safe future for children.
